Virtual Assisting 101
I once went to an oral surgeon for a small procedure and while waiting I filled out the required paperwork for the practice. In the occupation section I put that I was a virtual assistant. When the oral surgeon came into the room he asked me, “What the heck is a virtual assistant, and how can you help me?”
We worked together for several years.
A virtual assistant is a person who works from a home office for clients in remote locations, those clients can be anywhere in the world. They provide a vast array of services such as word processing, telephone answering, event planning, calendar management, social media management, and so on.
